CORE UPDATE

A Legion server that bets on quality.

Over the past few weeks, the Hellgarve development team has been working on a major core update.

It is now LIVE.

More concretely, this involves upgrading parts of our database infrastructure, as well as modernizing the core code, its technologies, and dependencies.

All of this will allow us to introduce new systems and fixes tailored to this new infrastructure — because our ambition is to offer you the highest quality content possible.

NEW FIXES — 05/15/2026
 

[Core Update: Crash Fixes]

  • Shared damage: Resolved an issue where DealDamage would traverse the active shared-damage aura list while subsequent damage calls modified the aura state.
  • Victim selection: Fixed a taunt-aura loop during creature victim selection that could persist after the original caster disappeared.
  • Battlegrounds & PvP: Fixed a server crash occurring when players left a Battleground while in combat.
  • Decomposing Aura (DK): Fixed target filtering logic causing certain loops to freeze the server thread.

  • Large update to database server structure.
  • Encrypted communication packages implemented.
  • Old core dependencies removed.
  • Core upgraded to a much newer C++ version.
  • Website updates completed.

  • Disabled Solocraft scaling in Battlegrounds and Arenas.
  • Improved PvP talent loading and reapplication.

  • Improved delayed packet safety.
  • Added custom World Quest unlock fix.

  • Improved waypoint reload handling to prevent rare crashes while active NPCs are moving.

  • World Quest state refresh improved for unlocked players.
  • Fixed gossip selection fallback issues.
  • Fixed stale NPC gossip menu states.
  • Fixed Solocraft Insurance Adjuster and Teleporter.

 

[Core Update: The Black Temple]

  • Fixed Supremus door progression.
  • Fixed Illidari Council loot credit handling.
  • Fixed Illidan scripted death loot credit.
  • Players can now loot Illidan and receive achievements correctly.

  • Fixed Argus the Unmaker encounter reset issue.

 

[Garrison: Alliance]

  • Herb garden level 3 missing objects added.

[Core Update: Crash Fixes]

  • Fixed a movement generator crash that could happen when waypoint callbacks changed the active movement stack during update.
  • Fixed a spell target cleanup crash caused by stale target pointers during spell/object cleanup or map unload.
  • Fixed an additional waypoint movement crash where one shot paths or scripts could reinitialize the movement stack while the current waypoint generator was still updating.
  • Fixed an item/inventory crash caused by stale item references in a few edge cases.
  • Fixed a World Quest visibility crash when checking player skill requirements.

 

NEW FIXES — 05/25/2026

 

[Core Update: Dungeon Finder]

  • Fixed a Solo Queue / fake group issue where the Dungeon Finder minimap icon could remain stuck after completing a dungeon, preventing the player from queueing again until relog.
  • The LFG group is now kept until the player actually leaves/disbands after the final boss, preserving rewards and loot time.

 

[Core Update: Teleports]

  • Fixed Argus / Vindicaar same-map teleport handling so platform switches use a zone-map teleport path instead of moving the player before the target platform area is ready.
  • Fixed Vindicaar choose-platform spells so same-map teleport effects preserve the custom loading screen and route.
  • Fixed short taxi teleport paths so same-map taxi teleports preserve the destination orientation.
  • Prevented short taxi teleports from starting another teleport if the player is already being teleported.
  • Fixed taxi activation cases where taxi AI already triggered a teleport, preventing a second taxi teleport from running on top of it.
  • Added extra Argus / Vindicaar platform object and static transport grid loading so platform objects are available before player movement or local teleport cases such as Mage Blink.

 

[Core Update: Throne of the Four Winds]

  • Added extra target grid loading before movement.
  • Forced instance visibility to max distance so large platform objects stay visible without increasing global instance visibility.
  • Refreshed wind/platform gameobjects after moving the player to the landing platform, reducing cases where the destination platform disappears or is not ready.

 

[Shaman: Artifact Questline]

  • Fixed "A Ring Unbroken" quest.

 

NEW FIXES — 05/26/2026

 

[Core Update: Garrison / Areas Updates]

  • Added a narrow Ashran fallback for Draenor map 1116 when the normal area lookup returns 0.
  • Stormshield and Warspear now fall back to their correct pre area IDs instead of leaving the player in area / zone 0.

 

[Core Update: Teleport]

  • Fixed players falling through the Dalaran platform after teleport in Deadwind Pass during Legion introduction - taking In the Blink of an Eye.

 

[Instance: Eonar]

  • Eonar helper relocated, announce helper when player in range.

 

[Others]

  • Level 100/110 boosts - fix some equipment, players will be teleported to their capital city and auto logged out afterwards to refresh spells/items once logged back in.
  • Any account with 0 Battle Coins set to 1 Coin on login (if needed for Hardcore Mode access in the in-game store - services).

 

NEW CHANGE — 05/26/2026

 

[Website]

  • Registering and logging into the website now only requires an email address, in order to match the in-game login, which also requires an email address. A username is no longer necessary.

[World: Transmogrificators]

  • Transmogrify custom NPC - enable transmog with different item types (cloth vs plate), regardless of whether player can equip.

[Quests and phasing]

 

[Player reports: NPCs and environment]

  • Fixed "#138" issue. NPCs changed to proper feign death aura.
  • Fixed "#143" issue. Fixed scaling.
  • Fixed "#142" issue. Fixed gossip, conditions to set based on quest completion.
  • Fixed "#140" issue. Enabled existing SmartAI scripting to be used.
  • Fixed "#141" issue. Area now marked as inn.

 

[Player reports: PVP and archaeology]

  • PVP prestige achievements should now apply for those who qualify.
  • Archaeology objects now spawn in front of the player.

[Core update: Crash Fixes]

  • Fixed a crash related to Greater Invisibility aura cleanup.
  • Fixed a crash related to group invite cleanup.
  • Fixed a crash during quest status lookup bounds checks.
  • Fixed a crash during item creation store results handling.
  • Fixed a crash related to item artifact template lookup.
  • Fixed a crash by hardening the StoreNewItem result handling.
  • Improved crash report generation (crash log dump).

 

[Garrison]

  • Alliance Barracks Garrison level 1: Removed construction static object after barracks are built.

 

[Mythic: Argus]

  • "Titanslayer" (ID : 513) is now properly rewarded once Argus defeated in Mythic, and achievement (ID : 12002) unlocked.

 

[The Nighthold]

  • Fixed "The Nighthold: Talisman of the Shal'dorei" quest (all 3 versions for Normal/Heroic/Mythic). Completing the quest will now unlock the skip-door near the raid entrance inside for its respective difficulty. If unlocked on a higher level instance, it will automatically unlock for lower difficulties as well (e.g., Heroic unlocks for both Heroic and Normal/LFR raids).

 

[Druids: Gathering in flight form]

  • Druids in Flight Form are now able to gather herbs, as long as they are resting on the ground.

 

[Warlocks: Demonology Artifact]

  • Fixed "Thalkiel's Consumption" special artifact skill. It will no longer overflow damage in instances when Solocraft is active.

 

[Player reports: Quests]

 

[Player reports: NPCs/Prof/Eonar Helper]

  • The Kurken: Removed incorrect invisibility aura (#917).
  • Sagefish School: Fixed empty loot tables (#919).
  • Antorus, the Burning Throne: Set correct flags for Eonar trigger NPCs.
